Recovery Through Christ

We are a Christ-centered home in central California where we put your sobriety first through a drug, alcohol, and pornography free, sober-living home.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

A note from our director:

Most of us have, in some way, been touched by addiction. Although my entire adult life has been spent helping others through the military, being a paramedic, and now a firefighter, I have ultimately felt called to help those in the midst of life’s biggest preventable trauma– addiction. I have seen addiction destroy families and marriages, careers, and lives. Through a series of my own bad decisions, a diagnosis of depression, and a lack of personal relationship with Christ, my life was also turned upside down by addiction. While I know God did not cause my problems, I know He had a plan to use them for His glory and the good of others. A few years later, after walking with a friend through the recovery process from his own addictions, God revealed to me the key pieces to addiction recovery. Once at rock bottom, the only way to help someone out is to throw them a rope; they must do the climbing. But this climbing produces endurance, character, and strength, which are essential to a life of sobriety. This is what CSL is founded on. We create an environment where men can expect accountability and structure that promotes recovery through Christ. We are all responsible for our own recovery. The work we put in is what makes the difference. We must admit we are powerless over our addiction and allow God to transform us. My hope and prayer are for CSL to glorify God while being a grace-filled place for recovery through Christ.

Addiction comes in many forms, from drugs and alcohol to pornography and more. You are not alone. 21 million Americans struggle with substance addiction.
